Why Feel good When You Can Feel Great

Aloe Vera has been used over thousands of years, and is known as one of natures greatest gifts.
Reportedly the Egyptian Queen Nerfertiti and Queen Cleopatra used the Aloe Vera as a beauty regime. They regarded the gel as an answer to eternal youth.
and used it to preserve her skin from the ages of time, and the elements of the weather especially the dangers of the sun.
The Roman's and the greeks were well aware of its soothing powers. Alexander The Great believed it was vital in the treatment to aiding his wounded troops.
Christopher Columbus once wrote, Four vegetables are essential
to a mans health. Wheat grapes, olives and aloe. The first is a nutrient, the second fortifies the spirit, the third brings harmony and the fourth soothes.
Aloe Vera is called by many names. Jamacia single bible, South America Sabila, Indonesia Lidah Buaya, and in Japan where perhaps the most fitting called Isha Izaru
which translated means, No need for a doctor.

There are at least 4 species of Aloe. Aloe Barbadenis Miller is one most widely used. Because its the easiest to cultivate and has some of the most potent properties
making it the most powerful.
Aloe Vera flourishes in warm dry climates. But which to say it does'nt mean it can,t be grown else where. I have Aloe vera plants at various stages on my window cill and in the green house.
South facing windows work best and they are very easy to maintain. I,m certainly no green finger gardener. Frost brings the most danger to the Aloe, so stops any serious cultivation in Europe.
Although many people think its cactus it is infact actually a member of the lilly family. Aloe Vera takes five years to reach maturity and grows around 2-3 feet in lenght.
Because of how long a plant takes to mature it is not cheap to produce. Bear this in mind when choosing Aloe Vera. A good quality Aloe Vera will cost. A drinking gel is normally around £20 / $40 for half a litre.
There are cheaper products about but maybe questions have to be asked about there quality.

So why drink Aloe Vera. More and more people are moving away from the orthadox methods, and looking to find a more natural approach to our optiman health and well being.
It contains an abundance of vitamins and minerals including the rare vitamin B12. One of only two vegetables that provide it. Making it a great supplement for vegetarians and vegans.
It is also adaptogenic as different bodies draw different needs, making it extremly versatile.
Not suprising why the Aloe Vera has attracted the nickname the Miracle Plant.

TEN REASONS FOR DRINKING ALOE VERA.

10. EFFECTS ON THE GUT

Aloe Vera has a wonderfully benificial action on the bowel function, which results in smooth and efficient transit of contents resulting in a softer bulkier stool, making it easier to pass

9. ASSISTS IN HEALTHY DIGESTION

A healthy digestive tract ensures that nutrients from the food we eat are absorbed into the bloodstream. There is a clear clinical evidence that by drinking Aloe Vera Gel the bowel is able to absorb these nutrients more efficiently, especially protein. Most likely many other substances are
better absorbed under its influence.

8. BALANCES THE IMMUNE SYSTEM

Among the substance identified in Aloe Vera is a long chain sugar (polysaccharide) that is known to have an effect on the cytokine system the chemical messengers of the immune system. Therefore it can act in a way that balances the system and so it can be considered and it can be called immunomodulator. In the U.S.A this sugar has been extracted from the Aloe Vera and made into a drug.

7. EFFECT ON THE SKIN

When they are first produced deep in the epidermis skin cells are rather large and very much alive, but by the time they reach the surface after 21-28 days(in normal skin) they are a shadow of their former selves and are transformed into just thin flakes of Keratin which eventually fall off. Aloe Vera gel provides the essential nutrition to feed the bascal cells and therefore the skin remains healthy and is able to perform its vital functions more efficiently as well as
looking much better!

6. INCREASES THE ACTIVITY OF FIBROBLASTS

Fibroblasts are a specialised cells found in the skin and their job is to produce fibre such as collagen and elastin. These fibres give the skin its structure and of course, make it look plump and elastic. The more you have the younger your skin looks.

5. EFFECTS ON THE MUSCULOSKETAL SYSTEM

Certain substances in the Aloe, such as the salicylic acid and the plant sterols are able to sooth muscles and maintain healthy joints mobility and flexibility.

4. EFFECTS ON THE GUT FLORA

Aloe Vera is a natural balancer in many areas and nowhere more so than inside the gut, where it tends to regulate the various bacteria and yeasts that inhabit it. For example, if a person were to suffer with too much yeast in the gut, regular ingestion of the gel would tend to reduce this overgrowth. The same can be said of the more unfriendly bacteria that can accumulate in certain conditions.

3. A USEFUL SOURCE OF MINERALS

Some of the minerals found in Aloe Vera include calcium, sodium, potassium, iron, chromium, magnesium, manganese, copper and zinc. This is because the plant tends to grow in the areas where soils are rich in these minerals and its roots are able
to absorb them and deliver them to us in avery available form.

2. A USEFUL SOURCE OF VITAMINS

Aloe Vera gel contains a large range of vitamins-even trace elements of vitamin B12 which is rarely found in plants. Apart from vitamin A, it contains B-group vitamins, vitamin C, vitamin E and folic acid. Many of these vitamins cannot be stoerd by
the body so we need to constantly top them up from the food that we eat. What better way than by drinking a daily amount of Aloe Vera Gel while at the same time building up the body's defence system against oxidative stress naturally?

1. WONDERFUL DRINK FOR GOOD HEALTH

By drinking the gel with all its omportant ingredients(often now deficient in our food) including 19 of the 20 amino acids needed by the human body, and severn of the eight essential ones that just cannot be made, the body is able to get enough
to allow the complex enzme systems to work really well. This means the body can function at 100%. The net result to the individual is a wonderful feeling of wellbeing which tends to go with improved ability to withstand and even fight illness.

As you can see from these 10 great reasons, taken daily either alone or mixed with fruit juice, Aloe Vera Gel is one of the best nutritional supplements available
